[Shreveport, LA]
After HS, went to OU for freshman year. Transferred & graduated from Grinnell College,'84-BA biology/psychology. M.D.degree at OU in '88. General surgery internship at Yale University, followed by general surgery residency at Wayne State University, and colorectal surgery fellowship at Univ. Texas Med. School in Houston.  Since 1995, I've been in private practice in Shreveport, Louisiana, specializing in colorectal, laparoscopic, and general surgery.  Teaching appointment at Louisiana State University School of Medicine as Assistant Clinical Professor in Surgery. Teaching Laparoscopic Colorectal surgery has taken me to China, New Zealand, Germany, Canada, Thailand, Singapore, and middle east...been a blast and still traveling!

Been blessed with Jennifer and Luke...she tolerates my hectic schedule and Luke has me running to keep up with him!  He is 3 in picture (2009) and already showing signs of surgeon's manual dexterity...everyone says he's a "mini-me"!

Unfortunately, can't make it to reunion but will donate $$$...have fun! I share an OU Football Suite, so try to make all home games. Drop me a line if you want to come up to SUITES...it's a BLAST!

Thanks Carrie for your hard work!

I graduated from OU with a BA in philosophy and then I went to Vanderbilt for law school.  I met my husband in school and we've been married for 20 years.  We have two beautiful girls - Jennifer (16) and Emma (14).  I'm senior counsel for the University of Rochester Medical Center and I'm very grateful that I work part-time.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion and appreciate all of the hard work that has been done to organize it.

I have lived on each coast and lots of places in between, and Japan.  I studied music in college, have a Master's degree in cello, played for awhile, had two beautiful daughters, taught myself photography and showed in galleries and worked for newspapers, taught high school, lived on an egalitarian farm, and am now a massage therapist in the Chicago area....soon to break free of the city and buy land with my partner, Emmet. It's been a long life so far!  And I hope there's lots more.

After high school I started working at Norman Bank of Commerce and loved it, so I thought it would be fun to put off college for a year and work, so I did. I worked at NBC bank for about 7 years (until it failed). After that I started my career in public accounting. At 35, I decided it was time to go to college. Thinking that was not enough of a challenge I started my own accounting business at the same time!LOL I love working from home (no commute, especially in Austin!)My clients are awesome (they all 'moved' with me to Texas last year). In 2008, God (finally!) decided I had been single long enough and led me to Gary. We were married in July 2009 and are having a blast being newlyweds! God is great and Life is good! Looking forward to seeing everyone next month, can't believe it's been 30 years!!

I married my sweetheart, Ted, during our senior year of college, graduated from O.U. with a degree in accounting, and then moved to Tulsa.  After four years as a corporate accountant, I quit my cushy job to invest my days as a stay-at-home mother of five.  Our older two daughters are now college roommates at John Brown University and I am continuing to home educate our younger three.  I serve as the "Mr. Quinn" for a home school co-op (I think the kids like me though), lead parenting classes with my husband, and enjoy a phone ministry to young moms.  Ted and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary last week and we have an absolute blast together.  Thank you Juanita Loewen, for dragging me to your "Wednesday Night Meeting" so I could meet Jesus. Knowing Him has made life beautiful and is what holds everything together.

I'm still in pharmaceutical sales with an orphan drug company called Sigma-Tau, selling a product for ulcerative colitis. Raising my two boys...(payback time) :) Still running and enjoying the outdoors. I get back to Norman usually in the spring. I miss it there and consider it home although I've realized I've lived in Colorado now longer than I lived in Norman. Miss those thunderstorms!!!

BA in Latin from Swarthmore College in PA (where my younger daughter will be a freshman this fall -- older daughter is a junior at Reed in OR).  Met my husband of 25 years there, Keith, moved to St. Louis and have been here ever since.  Taught Latin and Greek for 5 years, gave birth to our 2 wonderful daughters, taught childbirth classes and apprenticed with midwives and as a doula, helped legalize homebirth midwifery in Missouri, now work as a clerk at the electric utility here.  It's a safe and secure job, but I'm considering going back to teaching high school as I'm becoming an "empty nester." Also have a dog, 2 cats, 2 birds and a beautiful little house in the woods.

Just recently left my job of 26 years with the Norman Public Schools Transportation Department.  Started out as a school bus driver while a freshman at O.U.and ended up as the Supervisor of Transportation.  Imagine that, me in charge of student safety and behavior!!! Got involved in coaching little league baseball and had the good fortunes of helping coaching the Norman, OK Reds that won 4 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS (3 A.A.U. and 1 DIZZY DEAN). Currently in my 25th year of refereeing basketball.  Doing lot's of high school and small college games.  Waiting for the "right" job opportunity to present itself before venturing into a new career.

Yikes - if you're freaking out over your senior pic, at least you aren't looking at your 8th grade photo, like I am.  At any rate, since I moved after my freshman year at West and didn't graduate from Norman High, I really don't belong here.  Carrie was nice enough to remember me and although I'm slightly uncomfortable with it, I am grateful to be included in your reunion website.  Since I haven't seen most people I knew since 9th grade, it's been fun enough for me just looking at your high school photos.  I've stayed in touch with both Lisa Duchon and Diane Boudreaux all these years and have recently reconnected with others via Facebook.

I live in Spring Valley, IL (about 80 miles west of Chicago off I-80)with my husband Steve and have 3 kids, Katie, Ryan & Kelle.  I've been a 4th grade teacher for 23 years and Steve is a Biology/Microbiology teacher at Illinois Valley Community College.  Katie's a junior at Augustana College in the Quad Cities (majoring in speech path & French), Ryan's a freshman at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Mn (majoring in bio-engineering and playing basketball) and my youngest, Kelle, is a freshman in high school.  Although it's been different adjusting to two kids out of the house, Kelle's played both volleyball and basketball at the varsity level, and we've found ourselves just as busy back in the gym watching games as we've been  doing for the past 7 years with the other two.  Although not perfect by any means, all three of my kids are much more grounded, sure of themselves, and serious about academics and extra activities than I was at their age.  But, they also haven't h  ad to move around during these years as I did.

I would have given anything to have been able to keep in touch with the friends I left behind via e-mail, Facebook, & cell phones when I moved!  I've always remembered my Norman friends - lots of great times.

Thanks again for including me.

Well, after high school, I went to ACU in Abilene,TX.  Spent two years there and then transferred to OC, in Okla. City. I met my husband and after finishing the year out, I came back home and worked till I got married in '84.  Worked and did a little more college until I had my kids. Now they are raised and in college--two fine boys! :-) I got the job, here at Enogex, in '95 and I started back to finish my degree in '96. I got my Associate's in CIS at OSU-OKC in '02 and finally got my Bachelor's in Business May 9, 2009 at OCU! It took long enough but I'm glad I stayed with it! :-)

2014:

I have worked for Oil & Gas firms for the last 19 years, as an analyst -- primarily in Measurement--and I love it!!
